My name is Jose Miguel Ortiz Portas, though I usually go by Pepe. Based in San Diego, CA, my design journey began in architecture, where I honed a strong foundation in systems thinking. During my graduate studies, I delved into rapid ethnography, creative thinking facilitation, innovative delivery processes for human-centered design, and strategic foresight.



Passionate about problem-solving, I excel in communicating complex data and uncovering insights, translating them into actionable items. My goal is to create user-centered products and systems that seamlessly address deep-rooted human needs. I achieve this by fostering empathetic engagement and balancing the needs and motivations of individual users.
